For me when I am shopping online for shoes most importantly, I want to know how is the sizing and I would have to say that this shoe runs true to size. I wear an 8 1/2 and the shoe was roomy enough for me to include some Dr.Scholl's gel insoles which are a must here because unless they forgot to put the cushion in my footbed (they didn't), my idea about cushioning differs greatly from the people at BCBGirls! I would also say that the shoe is true to width. I have a medium width foot and this shoe is actually wide enough for my foot to sit comfortably without all of my toes fighting for breathing room, which was a pleasant break from the norm. A lot of the dress shoes for women these days seem to have been designed for a woman who has had her feet bound from birth in the ancient Chinese tradition!
The product description states that the heel on this shoe is 2 3/4" but according to my handy dandy tape measure that heel is 4" even from the very top of the heel to the bottom of the rubber tip. That said, it is a nice sturdy square heel which doesn't give you that feeling of balancing on a spike all day long. And speaking of all day that is how long I wore these shoes the first time out and I was quite comfortable and that included hours of walking through Sam's Club.
There are so many things to love about this shoe. This a classic wingtip redesigned with a peep toe to give it a modern edge. The detailing on the shoe is wonderful with the cut-outs having been done with pinking shears to give them sort of a scalloped look which adds a feminine touch to a traditionally male style shoe. Looking at the black patent ones online it is a little difficult to see that there is a cut out on the bottom of the shoe from the arch back to the beginning of the heel which just adds to the 'oh wow' factor. The man-made sole has the little grooves to provide traction which helps lessen the danger of slipping on slick floor or icy sidewalks. My only concern is with the laces. They are patent leather to match the shoes but seem slightly brittle and I am concerned that will only worsen over time and they could be hard to replace. But forewarned is forearmed so I will start looking around for a replacement pair now so I will have some on hand should I ever need them.
Overall I am extremely pleased with my purchase especially since I bought the shoes for less than $20.00! I just wish they had the grey pair in my size and that the brown and white pair would drop in price too!

I love BCBGirls shoes so I thought I would love these. Instead I found them very uncomfortable, I think because the leather is very stiff and cheap and the "leather" rubs up against my foot. The laces are also stiff and cheap and look awful. I'm sending them back. Very disappointed!

Love the shoes, there HOT!!! Amazon is really the only site I feel comfortable making purchases with. They are dependable and shipping is fast.
