Understated elegance defines the well crafted Theta sandals from the Clarks Artisan Collection. Sumptuously soft leather upper in a casual slingback wedge sandal style with a round open toe. A single Velcro (R) leather vamp strap wraps diagonally over the inner arch to a slingback leather heel and wrap Velcro (R) closure ankle strap. Faux leather lining and cushioning logo footbed, flexible midsole. Flat traction rubber outsole. 2 1/4 inch wedge heel.

I have fairly narrow feet and even take a narrow width in some styles of shoes and sandals. This sandal was too narrow for me to fasten the straps without part of the velcro remaining visible, which didn't look very nice. I was disappointed. I thought this would be a comfortable sandal that had a bit of style to it.

I expected these shoes to be comfortable. I wanted shoes with a raised heel, and velcro, so these shoes looked perfect to me. I wore these shoes once, and I was suffering the entire time. My heal was heating up from the friction against the label on the top of the heal so bad, that I had to walk on tip toes. Even then I felt my heals were burning. May be it would have been fine if there had been no golden label on the top of the heal, I do not know, but the lining of the show itself seems to cause friction, because it's not smooth. I do not know what I am going to do with the shoes. I will try to return them. I think it would be better if the lining were smooth.

These shoes fit loose around the toe area and snug around the heel. My feet slid forward in the shoe and rubbed against the back strap. They looked like they were well constructed, but I ended up wearing them only once.

I bought these in 6.5XL as I have very wide feet. I bought them at the same time as I bought the "Lambada" sandals (also by Clarks) and I must admit that I prefer the fit of the "Lambada". These are comfortable but not quite as wide as I need them to be. I've had to adjust the strap over the toes to the absolute limit. However Clark sandals always stretch so I know that they will eventualy "give" a little. They look great on and are perfect for a slightly more dressy look for my island lifestyle.
