Description:

The halfpipe is your battlefield in the Spartan Low skate shoes by DC Shoes. Action leather and nubuck or leather and patent leather upper in a technical skate style with a round perforated toe. Pin-punched perforated panels and contouring wrap overlays, full lace up front. Foam padded collar and tongue and elasticized keeper straps add extra comfort. Soft tricot lining and removable cushioning footbed. Flexible air cushioning Performalite (R) midsole and grippy DGT (R) rubber outsole.

I wear size 12 in most all shoes, but 13 fit best in this shoe. I don't skate, so I can't speak to how this shoe works for that, but for general wear and limited walking it is great. The shoes get a lot of comments for their visual distinctiveness; the comments I get are generally positive, but I could do without the attention to my shoes of all things!

I bought these shoes about 5 months ago and I loved them from the start. They were stylish (I got complements from my friends), very comfortable for daily use, but they have fallen apart since then. If you aren't looking for anything too durable, I strongly suggest these.

DC makes what I think are the best skate shoes. They are stylish enough to wear anytime, and skateable enough to skate great right out of the box. The shoes are super durable. They have triple stiching in the kickflip and ollie area for extra durability, and even when the stiching is worn through, the fabric doesn't separate (must be glued). There is also a lace-saving feature where you can run the lowest two rows of laces behind an extra flap of leather to save your laces from destruction via griptape. SUPER comfortable.
