8761s and me are a perfect pair.i use them as daily wearers and they are so comfortable and look great too.

I bought this pair BEFORE they transferred the production over to the chinks. The first Dr. Martens were made by a German doctor; but soon after the company was British made and produced all the way.
These boots are still not bad despite being made in china now,but I can't reconcile that they're not made in England anymore. If you want real british-made boots try: Solovair, Gladiator, TredAir, Gripfast etc.
Some Docs and Grinders are still made in England but they are sometimes extremely difficult to find (as of now), and you're looking at steep shipping costs as well, if you live outside England and Europe. I'd rather pay a few more bucks to have true British made boots, not counterfeits made by chinks.
Dr. Martens used to have roots, these don't. Until the company grows some balls and brings production back to England or another European-based country I'd stay away from them, boycott them!

Totally impressed with the quality and materials of this boot. It shouldn't take long to break them in propperly, but then I'll be wearing them day in, day out. Yeah they're made in China, but this is still a solid mudhole stomper.
Accept no substitute. Docs are it!!!

Very durable, comfortable... Really not too heavy. Those who say they are, obviously don't wear boots.
Awesome!
I wear them all day, everyday for work in the military. Best boots I've ever had.

I live in boots.. work boots, combat boots, you name it, a pair never leaves my feet. I dont even think i own a pair of tennis shoes. Very well made and comfortable! A great buy all around, I couldn't have asked for anything more!
