5Very good, soft and comfortable  Aug 29, 2007
By Pre-Historic Moron "This Old Moron"
This was one of the two Dr. Marten's I like, and while I would not say that this is the better looking one of those two, this is surely the softer, more comfortable pair. It never caused any trouble from the day one, and it really feels very nice. There is only one problem (as of now) as I see it: the small leather part (buckle(?)) through which the lace passes (after two holes from the top) which seems pretty weak to me, and I am afraid that I would end up tearing it off. Other than that, I like everything about the boot. Though it looks not very photogenic from certain angles, it compensates that by its very comfortable make.

5Life Savers  Aug 23, 2007
By Christopher E. Horton "Baigs *Intrepid Server*"
All I can say is I was in extreme pain with my previous shoes and always had to take em off when going through the metal detector. These Doc Martins were recommended to me and boy have they lived up to the recomendations. My Feet, LEgs and Back feel much better when wearing them.

2Comfortable but doesn't last  Feb 17, 2011
By Jon
I bought these boots in January 2010. By March, the leather started tearing away from the sole just behind the toe box. It is now Feb 2011 and the small hole is now almost a 4 inch tear alond the inside of the right boot. I bought these shoes based on their comfort. And it is because they were comfortable that I gave them 2 stars instead of 1. The last pair of boots that I bought, I had them for 7 years before they wore out. These didn't make it 3 months before they started to tear up. I will never own another pair of these boots.

By David G. Wondell
the shoe is ok, comfortable and light weight. but the eyelets are plastic and already one is broken. not what i expect from dr. martens. it was worth the price i paid, being about half off, but if i paid full price, i would return it.
