Great For Gigs Jan 02, 2014
By M. Harris
I've had a pair of these shoes for several years and I've worn them completely out. That's not a bad thing, though. They've taken a lot of abuse. I usually wear these shoes when I'm playing in a band. We play long sets in which I stand nearly the entire time, usually 3-4 hours. These are absolutely the most comfortable shoes for standing for long periods that I've ever owned. I admit that they're a bit too sporty for a tux, but I get payed to play, and I doubt if anybody's looking at my shoes. I was very happy to see that after all these years they still are available. I'm ordering another pair. Maybe two!.
Well, I guess I spoke too soon. On the outside, the new shoes I ordered are the same as my 6-year old pair. That's where the similarity ends. The comfort and support that made my old shoes ideal are no longer there. The new insert no longer has the same support or cushion. The padded tongue is half the thickness it used to be. And the heel seems harder. I'd like to cut them in half to see if they changed anything on the inside. I'm changing my review from five stars to three. The new shoe is not bad, but it's not great like it used to be. Sigh.

Great shoe - be careful about the size Nov 25, 2014
By Capt REC
I've owned a pair of these for about 10 years. I have walked all over the world in them. They have allowed me to have a pair of nice black shoes for when I'm at business meetings, and also to walk for hours in comfort. The leather upper finally started separating from the soles (which are nearly indestructible!) I came to Amazon to get a new pair and noted the concerns about the sizing. Thank you to the Amazon reviewers for pointing that out! So, I went to the Ecco store that is about 1.5 hours away to try them on. And - there is definitely a size difference. I've attached a picture of my old shoe and the new shoe. The old shoe is on the left and is a size 47. The new is on the right and a size 46 (and made in Portugal in case that matters) - but they are actually the same size. So, a great shoe that I obviously bought again, but one size smaller. Caveat emptor.

ECCO is quality Nov 29, 2014
By G.O.P for Me
I own the same shoes in brown. Purchased those a couple of years ago and they have held up well and are extremely comfortable. The black ones I just received are the same high quality. These ECCO Neoflexors are my go-to shoes for those business casual days at work. The absolute only thing to be cautious over is the European sizing. These shoes (at least the 43 EU size) run ever so slightly larger than the standard US size. I am a perfect 9.5M in just about every shoe I wear. These ECCOs are certainly not a 9-9 1/2 in my opinion. They are more of a 91/2 to 9 3/4. I do not find the very slightly bit longer shoe a problem at all. However, if you normally wear a US size 9 shoe, the 43 EU may be too large.

A Great Shoe Apr 25, 2013
By Jeff M
I've had a dozen pair of Ecco's the past 15 years and expect comfort and classic styling, this pair fills the bill. They are lighter than expected but the leather is of good quality and they felt great the first time on. They are a richer dark red color than the picture shows.
They are a very reasonable price for Ecco.
My 19 year old niece even commented (unsolictied!) on how good they looked.

I wear nothing but ... May 13, 2007

Just a line to say how comfortable these shoes are. Anyone who has ever put ECCO shoes on their feet know this to be true. I am truly singing to the choir but to those that are considering a purchase of ECCO shoes...do it! You owe it to yourself and your feet!
