Since I graduated college (oh so long ago), I thought that uncomfortable shoes were as much a part of business life as neckties. Imagine my delight when I slipped on a pair of shoes with the comfort of a pair of sneakers, yet with a business look. Now you know why I have become a life-long fan of Hush Puppy shoes.
I currently live in Japan, and need to remove my shoes when I enter any houses, so not having laces is a definite must for me. The elastic on this model is strong enough to keep its shape and hold the shoe firmly on my foot without being too tight. I love the thick-padded edges that are soft against my ankle instead of chafing. The bottoms have sneaker-like traction and comfort, making them easy to walk in without slipping on wet/flat surfaces. The one-piece construction of the toe area makes it easy to clean and hold a shine without much fuss, and these shoes are very light, making it easy for me to continue walking or standing during my work-day.
I bought the brown version instead of the black because from the internet picture, the black version had white stitches on the black leather and that didn't look as good as the brown shoe with brown stitching.

I got these shoes for my elderly father because he no longer can tie his shoes. I just did not have the heart to get him velcro sneakers and found these shoes. He loves them. They are sturdy, yet stylish. He says they are very comfortable.

 A note about Hush Puppies sizing Jun 27, 2007

I ordered these in EEE width but when they arrived they were labeled EW (extra wide).
I called the Hush Puppies customer service line and they explained that EW size is EQUIVALENT to a EEE. Judging by the way these fit, I'd say they're more like EE.
To avoid confusion, Amazon should remove the EEE size option from this item. Whether you choose EEE or EW, they're going to send you EW.
Otherwise, the shoes appear well made and are a bargain at the sale price.

I purchased 2 pairs of these (1 black and 1 brown) for work. The fit seems true to size and they are fairly light weight too. I work in the medical field and I am on my feet all day. These shoes are very comfy and I enjoy wearing them. The price was great too. I did notice that the brown shoes were a little more snug in the begining compared to the black ones. Also noted was that the leather used on the black ones was much softer than the brown ones. All in all, I have no regrets in the purchase of these shoes and will most likely repurchase these when these are worn out.

This purchase was my second pair of these exact shoes. They're just simple black slip-ons, simply styled, very comfortable and not overly expensive. My first pair lasted a decent while before I destroyed the sole almost wrecking my motorcycle (I ripped the sole putting my foot down to prevent a lowside wreck).
I will buy another pair soon in brown, so that tells you how satisfied I am.
