Super Comfortable but Soles Outlast Uppers Jul 25, 2010 I just bought my second pair because they are the coolest and most comfortable shoes that I have ever owned. The suede part of the uppers, however, is easily frayed or torn so that they are best for casual wear and might not hold up well on unimproved hiking trails. See my customer image of my one-year-old shoe next to my new one. Do not be deterred by this slight weakness if you are looking for a cure for hot sweaty feet -- they are terrific for casual wear. I also still have the previous model of this shoe and the uppers are much more durable.

My Favorite Hiking Shoes Apr 28, 2010 I've owned my Merrell Moab Ventilators for about 2 years. They've been very good shoes. I find them very comfortable - good support, light, with good breathability. I originally bought them for walking around Disney World. They supported my feet well and my feet didn't over heat (make sure to also wear good socks, like the Cool-lite from Wigwam). The Moab's also handle the trails that I travel. Getting them wet has not been an issue, as they dry quickly and water doesn't affect the materials. The sole has worn very well and is still has a lot of tread on it. I haven't had to change the laces either. I wear them mostly around town with some light trail and hiking thrown in for fun. I also really like the looks of the shoe.
After two years, it is time to replace them as the cushion and support are failing. The rest of the shoe structure is still in fine shape. I'll probably get a new insole and wear them as my grubby shoes.

Tropical cool Apr 17, 2010 Men's Merrell Moab Ventilator
I was half hearted when i was buying this pair of Merrell Moab Ventilator as it was rather dull looking when compared to merrell intercept on which i really had my eyes set upon!!. Had sizing problem with intercept as i have a wide feet.i tried on Moab ventilator and it felt snug ,but doubts remained as i live in a tropical country and its sweltering hot here!!.
Surprise!! this pair of shoes has some serious excellent ventilation. Not only that ,though my model was non-Gore tex ,it kept my foot dry in light-medium downpours!!
The padding on the shoes is damn good cos i had a couple of Auto rickshaw (tuk-tuk)run over my feet in the crowded streets and didnt burn a toe for the running over!!.i am completely sold on this model and am planning to buy another 2 more pairs to use it when this one wears out ( it's still going strong after a year of almost daily use).
hope merrell never discontinues this particular line of shoes.

Great For Wide Feet Feb 15, 2010 I typically wear a 10.5 EEEE and the 11 Medium fit me fine. I've had the shoes for around 6 months now and they're extremely comfortable. They seem to be very durable, as well.
This is my 5th pair of Merrell shoes/boots over a period of 5 years and I've always been happy. I haven't managed to wear out a pair yet!
My low and high top ventilators need replacement laces! Where? Feb 04, 2010 My shoes are fantastic, I've gotten great wear and comfort from both of them, the high and low tops, but they need the black and gold replacement shoe laces! Does anyone know where I can get them! Thank you!
