5The best shoes....ever!  Jan 22, 2008
By J. Montgomery
These slip-ons are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. It feels like I am wearing house slippers every time I put them on. If I had any critique at all, you will want to waterproof them regularly. When I wear them in the rain, the water splashes up onto the toe and after a while will soak through. But a good mink oil will take care of this. Sad to say I've just about worn my pair out (I wear them every day to work)...I'll be on the lookout for another pair to replace them! Maybe I'll get one of each color this time!?!? You will not be disappointed!!

3Love this Shoe but it Broke after Little Use!  Apr 24, 2011
By George Donnelly "georgedonnelly.com"
I love these shoes. I bought them in black at a store near me two years ago. I wore them very infrequently but they were stored carefully. They are so comfortable and good looking! Love them.

Today I take them out for a spin and the left shoe broke open where the leather meets the sole. I can't believe it. If anything I have lost weight and I'm not overweight. I wasn't running or anything, just walking leisurely in a mall. I am disappoint.

5Alternative to a Jungle Moc  Oct 27, 2010
By Edward M. Rohrlich "Ed R."
I have been wearing Merrell shoes & boots for years now. When they came out with the original Jungle Moc, I bought a pair and was hooked. Now, they have expanded their line of shoes to the more traditonal, as well as expanding the variations on the Moc.
First of all, these are very comfortable and supportive. You can wear them all day, just like the Mocs, though they are a bit more traditional/conservative style wise.
If you are looking for stylish streamlined fashion statments, these are not for you. However, if comfort and support are your prime concerns, then these are for you. They have a squared off look to them rather than the ovoid shape of the Mocs. This along with a more tradional sole, give the shoe the appearance of being a run of the mill shoe, perfect for work with a suit or more casual attire. But Merrel has designed the comfort of the Moc into these, and these require no break in or compromise to instant comfort.

I do recommend them.

4Slightly Squeaky  Oct 20, 2010
By Sean P. Rooney
I saw another review that mentioned that the Passports squeak. I have the same issue. They are a good looking shoe, and they're pretty comfortable. They do have a larger, boxier toe that does make them more of a casual look than something you would wear to dress up in. I'm mostly wearing them in a business casual work environment with some weekend duty. The leather has a pebbly grain to it that looks good when they start to break in. I have the "redwood" model.

A lot of reviews comment on the style, but I find very few mention the sizing for some reason. Since it's easy enough to tell if you like them or not, I'll discuss the fit. Normally, I wear a 13 in athletic shoes (Nike, Brooks) and a 12 in a boot or dress shoe. I ordered these in the size 12 and found them to be a little larger than my usual 12 fit. After breaking in over the weekend with a lot of walking, it seemed like they loosened up a bit and are now about a 1/2 size too large. I wear super-thick Thorlo socks with them, so it might be a full size with "regular" socks. Arch support isn't as much as I would like, either. But arch support and fit can be addressed with an insert.

If I buy these again, I'll get them a half-size smaller.
