1Stick to wood  Jul 26, 2008
By M. D. Wood "shop doc"
After wearing about four times the left shoe started to bother the bottom of my foot. I thought maybe a label needed to be refastened, only to find out the sandal split across the ball of my foot. They are not flexiable!! Stick to the original wood sandals. Therefore they do not even rate as one star, but the rating system required at least 1 star.

5Better than the Originals  Jan 28, 2009
By grl28 "grl28"
I just got my Dr. Scholl's Flex Slide in the mail yesterday and I must agree that they are more comfortable than the originals. However they also are NOT as flexible as they appear in the pictures above. I dont doubt they would crack if you pushed the ball of the shoe back toward the heal. They are basically just like the originals but they make less of a Clomping sound when you walk and seem to be a bit softer on the feet. Still made of wood, still with the same leather strap. The difference is the tag on the inside has a little cushioning and the part of the shoe where the ball of your foot goes (under the strap) has rubber instead of wood. You cant see it unless you take the shoe off and examine it. So it is much more comfy. My issue is that the Dr Scholl's website no longer seems to carry these flex style shoes, all they have are "The Original", "The Twist 2", and the darker wood ones called "Renew"... so I guess Amazon is the only place to get "The Flex". I will purchase many more as long as they are available. Even my husband wishes they had a more manly pair for him. :D These are great shoes, good investment.

5Better Than I Remember Them!  Feb 04, 2009
By Pamela Perry "shoediva"
These sandals are incredible! I had several pairs growing up, and then couldn't find them for awhile. The new "flex" part in the sole is wonderful! I bought more in different colors!
