No more knee problems! Mar 03, 2010
By Alison Hudson When I first started doing jazzercise in mid January, My right knee began to hurt so badly I could hardly do the moves. Being 48 and returning to exercise after being away for five years, coupled with a history of long distance running I thought it might be something I would have to learn to work with. But it got worse. Having a history with running I knew the importance of investing in good shoes and someone suggested Ryka's for the type of aerobics we did in jazzercise - jumping, turning, twisting. Within one week of wearing the right shoes I had no more pain. Even the instructors comment on how high I jump and how much fun I have in class, not to mention the 15 lb weight loss in 5 weeks. I found an awesome deal on Amazon and haven't looked back.

I like them pretty well Jun 10, 2009
By TawnTawn I use these shoes for Zumba. I needed something light with a smooth bottom. I ordered them elsewhere as they were cheaper.
At first I thought I wouldn't be able to wear these as they were too narrow in the instep (I also have this problem with Nike and usually wear Adidas). My foot is not narrow, but a Wide shoe is too big. I wore the shoes anyway, and they did develop some "give."
The only problem is that the sole is thin, and sometimes after doing heavy duty Zumba for an hour on a wood floor, my insteps can feel a little sore or burning. But it doesn't last long.
I wear a size 6 in regular shoes, and a 6 1/2 in athletic shoes. I ordered a 7 in this shoe and it fits. Also, I've had no problems with my ankles in this shoe, it seems supportive enough for me.

Bad feet and weigh too much? Aug 19, 2010

I have plantar fasciitis and my New Balance shoes added a pulled achilies tendon to the mix. I also weigh too much to be putting a bunch of stress on my knees. I bought these to use for Zumba and my feet don't bother me as long as I am wearing them. My knees are doing fine. Even my ankles seem to like these shoes. I'll buy them again. They fit true to size (10) for me. There is plenty of room in the toe area and the shank is very stiff giving really good support. I will buy them again.

Zumba Grandma Nov 10, 2010

I purchased these shoes for a Zumba exercise class. At 54 years of age I'm not as light on my feet as in years gone by but the Ryka's gave back a few years of lightness! Extremely comfortable, lightweight, and stylish-they have made my Zumba moves a little more graceful and my feet a lot more happy!!!

Instructor loves her shoes! Sep 29, 2009
By Lucy Mcveigh I am a Dance Aerobics instructor at a college and have had such a hard time finding the "perfect" shoe for teaching my classes...A lot of money wasted and many disappointments, not to mention foot problems from wearing the wrong shoes. Since using my new Ryka shoes, my feet feel much better. I also think they are cool looking, which is a plus!
