Description:

Saucony Lady Pro-Grid Hurricane 10 Running Shoes. This shoe provides the perfect blend of luxury cushioning and stability for runners seeking pronation control and a plush ride. Archlock Upper - A construction method in which the midfoot area of the upper wraps over the foot connecting with the midsole to provide superior control and support. Airmesh Upper - This material has a looser weave to promote circulation, having the dual effect of keeping the foot cool whilst also aiding evaporation as sweat is wicked from the skin. EVA Midsole - A diverse midsole material which is durable, lightweight, and provides responsive cushioning. ProGrid - A patented combination of rubber and polymer for the ultimate in luxury cushioning and velvet smooth heel-toe transition. SRC - SRC is an upgraded EVA which not only provides 15% more resilience but 10% greater durability too. This makes the shoe more responsive and helps it retains its cushioning characteristics for longer. HRC Strobel Board - The HRC added to the board gives an instant feel of comfort and cushioning. Impulse Eva - A upgraded high-end EVA. Offering better compression set and better memory. To the runner this will feel more cushioned and will absorb impact better, but will also be up to 15% more durable, so it returns to it's original shape meaning the cushioning in your shoes last longer. Dual Density - A firmer density of EVA located on the medial side of the midsole that slows the rate and controls the maximum angle of over-pronation. Midfoot Bridge - A rigid material in the shank area of the midsole keeps the foot neutral in the midfoot phase of the gait cycle. XT900 Rubber Forefoot - Saucony's carbon rubber outsole material which offers exceptional traction properties without sacrificing durability. XT600 Rubber Rearfoot - A carbon rubber outsole material which offers outstanding abrasion and traction properties. Blown and Carbon Rubber - Saucony's elite combination of blown rubber and carb

Features:
  • Full Length ProGrid Technology for maximum comfort and performance

  • Dual-density SSL EVA midsole

  • Arch Lock to provide snug midfoot fit

5On my 2nd pair  Feb 14, 2009
By R. Stoddard
My first pair of Hurricanes were the light blue/white ones. I have just gotten my 2nd pair in the black and silver.

These shoes are very durable and I found them to be very comfortable. They have held up well with no visible wear, though I ONLY use them on the treadmill and don't know what track or trail running would do to them.

I have flat feet that pronate when I run. These keep my arches stable.
I should note that I have terrible knees-- knees that should have had surgery 11 yrs ago (orthopedic surgeon recommendation!). I have never been able to run daily without knee pain until I got these shoes. I run at least every other day for 30 minutes and the first pair lasted me 6 months... that's pretty good considering their mileage!

These are highly recommended if you have pronation and joint problems!!

UPDATE: I have recently purchased the new Hurricane 11. While they are extra cushioned I would warn someone with feet that are flat (like mine) that these are uncomfortable on your arches. I came off the treadmill with blisters in my arch. The new ones fit much snugger and I felt like my feet were being squeezed lifeless... I do not have wide feet but an average width). I will stockpile the Hurricane 10's as they are much better for flat feet.

5THE ONLY SHOE FOR ME!  Jul 07, 2009
By Trina T. Corbett
I have high arches and bad knees. After no longer being able to buy the latest sale tennis shoe for just $40 (usually New Balance), I went to a runner's store and had the employee fit me with a shoe. This was the one. She suggested they be replaced about ever 3-4 months BEFORE my knees started hurting. They were expensive there ($130), but way cheaper than the orthapedist I'd be heading to if I didn't take good care of myself into my late 30's. I've now been through 3 pairs and it's time to buy my fourth pair. I love them! I used to run, but now walk with an occassional run several times per week, about 4 miles each time. Hope this helps someone.

1Very uncomfortable  Mar 01, 2008
By Gr8 Runn
The worst pair of Saucony Hurricanes I have ever owned. This is my 6th pair of Hurricane; The X's are a poor comparison of the V's and 8's of the past. They are very uncomfortable and the arch lock causes pain after just a few miles due to it's poor design. Not worth the high price. If this is what Saucony (StrideRite) considers improvements, this is definetly my last pair!!

5Saucony Progrid Hurricane 10  May 12, 2009
By Jessica Maurer "Jessica"
This shoe is amazing! I'm training for a 25k trail run and a half marathon and I never thought it was possible to run that far...until I found the right shoe and the right training program for me. Of course, as with any distance training, the shoe can't do it alone, I also found a great running insert at Lady Foot Locker to go with it. The shoe/insert combo makes me feel like I'm running on a cloud!
I'm even more stoked that I found such a great deal at Amazon...since these shoes are NOT cheap! LOL

1This company stole my money  Jul 08, 2009
By Mandy A. Downing
I bought shoes from this vendor, Shoes on The Web. I returned them via the USPS because they did not fit. The company would not credit me my refund for my return, claiming they never received the shoes. I put my return address on the package, and never received them back, as I would have if Shoes on The Web had not received them. Do not buy from this company!!!!!!!!!
