3Would have been comfortable....  Jan 09, 2007
By L. Jones
.... if they'd fit.
Unfortunately I was very disappointed when my shoes arrived. I love any type of open-backed shoe and thought these would be good to have for my upcoming trip to Las Vegas. As anyone who'd been to Vegas knows, good walking shoes are a must given the amount of walking that can take place during your stay!

Most all shoes in a size 10M fit me just fine, but I found these Skechers to be way too small. I was going to pass them on to my daughter who also has been blessed with her Mom's ol' size 10's, but they didn't fit her either. I don't know if it was a case of mis-sizing or if Skechers just run small, but there was no way I was going to be doing any walking in these shoes.

So, a word to the wise, if they're available, buy a size larger to be sure you get a comfortable fit.

5GREAT MULE LACE UP SNEAKERS  May 19, 2010
By Dog Lover
First of all, I am THRILLED with these shoes.
I ordered two pair of these based on the positive reviews and the sale price.

This is my 2nd model of Skechers mule sneakers. I intended to re-order the other one (they were called BikeRate or something to that effect) but they appear to be discontinued. I found these instead and now actually prefer them as they feel more "stable." I had seen that someone had said that they walked around Disneyland with them; another person said she wore them as a nurse. I don't know if I would do that in a mule but my foot is surprisingly stable in this shoe.

Skechers should offer more lace up mules because the ones that don't lace up seem to me to be specifically for a narrow low arched foot. When I try to put the non-lace up ones on, they make me feel like a have a big fat foot -- which I don't, but my arch is high enough that the mule MUST be "lace up."

I am big on inside/outside shoes and use one pair for "inside" and one pair for "outside." I leave them laced up all the time and I don't have a problem with the tongues when I slip them on, tho I guess I do bend over and straighten the tongue a bit. I think it is true what others say --
I needed to order 1/2 size larger than I ordinarily wear.

P.S. Mine came with an extra pair of shoelaces, white with shiny silver in them which I like A LOT.

3Be wary.  Mar 21, 2011
By Lynne
I love Sketcher's Orbit mules -- they are perfect for walking on the beach and trips to the grocery store. When I found these, I was thrilled and immediately ordered a new pair to replace my five-year-old pair.

Sadly, as I took them out of the box, I noticed a red arrow pointing downward. There is an area where the sole meets the leather that isn't sealed properly.

In other words, these are 'seconds' or factory-outlet shoes from Sketchers; sadly the advertising does not reflect that status.

3Comfortable but lace-ups defeat purpose of mules  Apr 18, 2009
By Janet Rocket
I have had 2 pairs of skechers mules in the past and have loved them because you just slide them on and go. They were always comfortable and durable.

I ordered these thinking they would be the same. In terms of fit and comfort, they are just like my others.

However, the lace-up nature of the shoe defeats the purpose of the mules --- just being able to slide them on and go. If you try to just slide them on, then the tongue slips down and bunches up -- making an uncomfortable lump on the front of your foot. I wind up untying and tying them every time I go to put them up to make sure the tongue is positioned properly. Unfortunately, that means it takes about as much time to put these shoes on as it does for an ordinary "full pair" of shoes.

Overall, I'm satisfied -- particularly since the price was excellent. However, I'll have to buy another pair in a different style to just slip on and go.

3The shoe itself is just fine.  Jan 19, 2011
By eggogirl
The shoe is fine. I personally would like something without such a clunky sole, but that is difficult to find and not pay a fortune.
