these shoes looked exactly like the photo. they may run a little small. overall great quality for the price.

a little bit of a tight fit to start. It is still a little difficult to get into but once on it looks great. Color varies (it isn't as dark as picture depicts)it is more like champagne or Chablis.

After having these shoes for over 2yrs, I have to say I'm not impressed. First, the nice Cognac leather finish is GONE. Even after polishing them several times, still no luster. The sole pads have very thin cushioning, so comfort goes right out the window. I have to say I expected more for what I paid, very disappointed.

Beware as the color will be darker than the picture. It is actually darker brown and I wouldn't describe it as Cognac.
I own a pair of Unlisted loafers which were also purchased on Amazon (no longer available) and they more closely resemble the color in the picture of these SM loafers. These (Steve Madden) shoes will be the first I own that were made in China. Let's see how they hold up.

If you are looking for a comfortable business casual shoe, you will find these right up your alley. They are fairly easy to put on and take off and are very comfortable (though they need a bit of time to break in, especially in the heel area like all Steve Madden slip-ons).
As an individual who works in a city of over 10 million people and engages in much walking around, I have found these shoes to be both durable and comfortable for a fairly long period of time.
My only complaint was that the color in the picture was a bit misleading. I expected a darker, more solid brown color and ended up with a lighter and seemingly mixed light/brown color. I feel that this takes away from the professional appearance of the shoes, so buyers beware of this aspect.
