Stylish and walkable Oct 10, 2007
By S. Trask

I usually wear a 9.5-10, but Tsubo runs a bit long and wide, so the 9 fits perfectly. However, these shoes work well with narrow feet because the velcro strap across the ankle really holds your foot and keeps it from slipping like so many uncomfortable women's heeled shoes. The heel gives you quite a bit of height without sacrificing style. I especially love how the leather around the back of the ankle is seperate from the sole itself, so that the shoe flexes instead of your ankle slipping up and down the back of the shoe. The last great bit is the slightly rounded toe, so that your toes never touch the front of the shoe. I can't work in these if I plan to walk to lunch at work, but they are great short-term shoes.

I was hopeful!!! My feet hurt. Oct 14, 2008

I was really hopeful after reading the reviews for this shoe. I've flat feet and bunions, but was looking for something that looked stylish to wear. I bought the shoe with guarded hopes and wore them around the house for several days. Each time I took them off was a relief. I can't imagine what going outside might have felt like. I wish they would have worked for me, but they did not. I found them to run about a 1/2 size large.

LOVE this shoe! Not happy with the dark red version Jul 09, 2008
By SF Girl I wanted to invest in a few solidly made pair of shoes. I purchased two pair of Acrea: black & dark red. If I could give them six stars on comfort, I would. I can wear them all day at work and well into the evening, which is huge with my fallen arches and arthritis. They feel like tennis shoes. I also have narrow feet but didn't have the problem the other reviewer had. As with any shoe, I guess you must try them and see.
The red Acrea's color was blotchy when they arrived like the dye didn't take evenly. They immediately started to discolor/lighten, show even the slightest scuffs (from carpeted stairs, etc) and look like older worn out shoes. This is big disappointment when you spend $130 on shoes.
I love them and receive many comments from strangers on the street, just beware with the lighter colors.

Unwearable for me. Apr 05, 2008

I love the look of these shoes and I have other Tsubos which are really great. I wear a size 8 and have a narrow foot. When I tried these in the store I was really impressed. However I tried them on my feet, bare. When I tried to wear them with lights, or sox I found that my foot slipped down and the edge of the front was unbearable. I have not found a way to wear them, and I didn't return them, so next I will try to take them to the shoe repair and insert a pad to put my foot back further.

Fabulous Shoe! Dec 12, 2007
By S. Yamauchi One of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. From the first moment I slipped them on, they fit like a glove. Being on the sales floor, these shoes kept my feet refreshed and comfortable, not to mention the unique, but fashionable styling. I look forward to exploring other Tsubo footwear.
