yes it is worth the price Apr 25, 2007

I bought a pair last year at an outdoor clothing & supply store and was hesitant to pay the price. (I am usually hard pressed to pay more than $5 for a pair of flip flops!) Because of the unique criss-cross design and the reputation of Teva sandals, I gave in and bought them. These are the MOST COMFORTABLE SHOES I OWN, even including my tennis shoes!
*** You may want to choose a larger size because they come in whole sizes only. I wear a women's 7 or 7 1/2 and I had to buy a size 8 in this shoe. Check the size chart for help.***
The design of the straps makes them stay on your feet well (and gives you a cool, funky tan!) and the thick sole molds around your feet to make them feel like they were made for you. After a year of pretty much continuous wear, my first pair are still holding strong! They have gotten pretty dirty because I sometimes wear them when I garden so I bought a second pair for less dirty activities. They come in so many different colors, you really could try to match an outfit, but I have a pair with black sole and blue design on the straps and I wear them with everything. I HIGHLY recommend these shoes!
**UPDATE as of 7/26/10**- I have worn the tread off another pair of Teva Olowahu flip flops after about a year of almost constant wear and am ordering two more pairs on Amazon! This is my favorite shoe I own, that is why I keep buying more when mine wear out! I will warn you that once the tread starts to wear down they are very slippery on a wet or slick surface. They are SOOO worth the money, and Amazon even has a few styles that are about half as much as the regular retail price! Would buy again, have bought again, and I am buying again!

CUSHY UNDER YOUR FEET!!! Sep 14, 2007

Tried a friends and I was hooked had to have a pair. I currently have plantar fiscitis which causes pain on the bottom of my feet and these are so wonderful for the softness and cushioning they provide. The only reason I did not mark five stars is because I wish they would come in a wide size. I have wide feet so it took a little time to stretch them a little so my pinky toes were not cramped. I usually can take a 7/7 1/2 in a sandal but I read a review before I purchased that also recommended going a little bigger due to them being narrow. Thanks goes out to that review, I will be getting more in the future!

These sandals are terrific. Very comfertable arch support and the cushions in the soles are like slippers. The straps across the feet are flexible and keep the sandals on tight. These are PERFECT for walking!!! Must get in many colors!!!

comfy sandals, but very little support offered Oct 05, 2009

I bought these as I needed a slightly "dressier" sandal than my chacos. While these are comfy, they provide very little support, and the fact that they mold so easily was a downside for me. I have fallen arches, and my feet just squished the arch support in these shoes, they did nothing for supporting my foot. They're fairly comfy, but again, I don't recommend them if you're looking for a sandal with good support.
Like others, I did find I needed to "round up." I usually wear a 9 or 9 1/2, and the 10 fits me perfectly.

The crowning jewel of this shoe addict's collection! Apr 14, 2009

I was first introduced to this awesome sandal by my sister, who gave me a pair she'd worn for about a year that she'd actually been given by a friend who'd worn them for a few years even before that! They both had gotten new pairs but neither one wanted to see this "old" pair go to waste because there was nothing structurally wrong with them.
I wore this pair nearly every day that was weather-permitting (in Utah), which was about 6 months of the year for about 7 more years. They FINALLY gave out! I wore them until the bottom sole was so worn through that one of the straps eventually came loose and a nice penny-size hole wore through right at the ball of my foot. Even the originally inch thick heel was getting close! Did I stop wearing them? Oh my, no. I merely tied the strap to another strap and did my best to ignore the ever-growing hole. I just purchased another pair to finally lay this vigilant pair to rest and can't wait!
Since I didn't have to do any of the breaking-in, I can only say that these were not just the most comfortable pair of sandals I've ever worn, but hands-down the most comfortable shoe that this shoe nut has ever had on her feet. My vast shoe collection became severely neglected once these hit my rack! I have incredibly high arches and never had any issues at all with the straps - as I mentioned though, I didn't do the breaking-in. The straps themselves will ease up and loosen over time though and also bear in mind that the insole is specifically designed to shape and mold around your foot, so your foot itself will eventually rest lower down in the shoe, which will also ease any strap pressure. This process, from what I have read in many reviews happens fairly quickly too. I'll be finding out for myself, however, within the week! Yay!
I'm INCREDIBLY excited to have this Teva again and have frequently recommended it to people who comment about them - which a LOT of people do.
