Boots should work Nov 13, 2011
By Jeff Schroeder From the title you may think this is a negative review but it is quite the contrary. I received these one week before I went upland game hunting in N. Dakota. My first concern was if they fit properly and they did. My second was breaking them in before I left on my trip so I started wearing them to work. I figured I'd get a blister on my heel as it seems I always do with a new pair of boots but it didn't happen. They a very comfortable, lace up easy, are light weight, and are very warm. While hunting we walk miles through many different terrains including a shallow river and the boots kept me comfortable the whole way. My feet never got wet, cold or blistered after miles of walking in adverse conditions.

decent boots, not for hard work Oct 06, 2011
By Jonny D I'm a commercial HVAC contractor in the mid-atlantic. I am on a roof 6a-2p 5 days a week. We get snow a few times a year, and the temps sometimes fall into the teens. I got these boots as a christmas gift; my steel toe belleville's were freezing my toes off at work. my standard boot size 11R fit just fine.
However, after 1 good year of solid wear everyday for 3.5 months; and the occasional use after that: they have worn out. The tread is more than 60% gone. The 400 gr insulation was never enough, my feet were warmer than in steel toes- but they were frozen. Water soaked through in numerous places, and trudging across a roof during snow-maggedon was cold. I will not buy another pair of these; and for my line of work it's not recommended. The insulation has also worn out, and as it gets cold again- it's almost as bad as wearing steel toes.
Tradesman's verdict: tradesman, don't buy em. harry homeowner/ hiker/ guy who needs a good winter boot; Highly recommended. If you don't wear these day in day out and aren't rough on boots- these would be great. But for what I do everyday- wolverine- y'all gotta try Harder
Good all around Boot Apr 10, 2012
By Charlie Nice fit and solid construction for using as protection from the elements while working around my acreage. I find this style to be more than adequate to work in bogs and creeks all day or stomping around unfriendly thick forests. Light enough to not cause fatigue.

GOOD BOOTS Oct 06, 2011
By johnny bartlett II Good outdoor work boots. A little big for the sizing though. When they are worn in and a little dirty, they look real tough.
