 Black Leather Appears Blue Jan 29, 2009
I know this is going to sound odd, but I ordered the black leather, and they are truly and obviously a navy blue hue. I bought these in black suede several months ago and fell in love with the Tangier style. However, when I received my order for a pair in black leather, they are blue. I don't know how this is possible since blue has never been an option in this style (to my knowledge), but I have had numerous people comment on my navy blue shoes. I am disappointed that I still don't have a more versatile pair of Tangiers in black (I really baby my suede ones), but I have held off on making a true complaint because I do have some outfits that these shoes match, and thanks to poor lighting, I did wear them for an entire day before I noticed. And sometimes it's nice to wear something other than black. As a shoe, Tangiers get five stars. For my particular purchase, they get one star because they are not what I ordered.
Disappointed, not up to Clarks standards Dec 16, 2008
These shoes are darling, I bought the bronze and was thrilled to see a fun style in a size 11. However, I was very disappointed in the fit, not at all the quality that I expect from Clarks. The toe is wider than it should be, so the foot slips down when walking. There is no arch support, or any other, for that matter. The lining is not comfortable either. I tried insoles and that didn't help. These are so uncomfortable, I won't be able to wear them, it's a total loss.
FYI: These are made in China, maybe that's the problem....they're no longer Clarks of England.

I am a big Clark's fan so I was looking forward to receiving these. I was not disappointed by the styling. Just funky enough, but not over the top. However, they run small. I wear a size 7 in Clark's and these fit more like a 6 or 61/2. Interestingly, I ordered another pair of Clark's at the same time I ordered these, and they also ran very small. I returned these to Amazon and drove to my nearby Clark's store. Yep, I still wear a size 7 in Clark's, so I don't know what's with the stock Amazon has. If you order these, try ordering 1/2 size larger.

I really like these shoes because they are smart looking and comfortable. Please note that they run wide. I would have been better off with a narrow size.

Very comfortable and fashionable, I really recommend buying indigo & clarks products. Awesome products.
